Beware of Fake Offers

It has come to our notice that certain individuals and groups are misusing the name and logo of Meesho to deceive job seekers. These actors are creating fake websites, reaching out via phone calls or social media platforms (such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.), and attempting to extract money or sensitive information from individuals under the pretext of offering jobs. In some cases, they are even issuing fake offer letters and asking candidates to pay for mandatory pre‑joining training or similar courses. Please note: Meesho does not charge any fees at any stage of the hiring process, nor do we require any paid training before joining. We want to ensure that no job seeker falls victim to such fraudulent practices. Here are some ways to identify genuine Meesho job opportunities and protect yourself from scams:

How to Identify Genuine Job Offers?

  • During Meesho's multi-round and merit-based employment recruitment practice, we NEVER charge, request or accept any fee or money from job seekers during or after the process.
  • Meesho will not ask for any confidential or financial information such as bank account number, tax details, recruitment fee, security deposit and similar during the selection process. After the offer letter is rolled out, the bank account details will be asked for however only send them to a '@meesho.com' email address. Never share OTPs with anyone.
  • Meesho only collaborates with well-established recruitment agencies who are authorized by the company to source candidate profiles. However, they are not authorized to charge money/ fee to the applicants or to make a final job offer.
  • Job seekers will always get a final offer from a '@meesho.com' email address.
  • If you are uncertain about the authenticity and description of the job opportunity, please visit our careers portal Meesho Careers as all our jobs are published there.
  • In case of any doubt about the interviewer or the interview process or job description, feel free to reach out to reporthiringfraud@meesho.com to verify the authenticity of the information.
  • If you believe you have been a victim of a recruitment fraud, please contact the law enforcement agencies immediately

Best Practices to Stay Safe

Here are some simple ways to protect yourself from job-related scams:
  • Verify email addresses carefully. Genuine communication from Meesho will always come from an @meesho.com email domain.
  • Avoid clicking on suspicious links sent via WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS, or unofficial email IDs.
  • Check the URL of websites claiming to represent Meesho. Our official careers page is meesho.io/jobs. Fake sites often mimic our branding but use incorrect URLs.
  • Watch out for poor grammar or inconsistent formatting in offer letters, job descriptions, or emails — these are often signs of fraudulent communication.
  • Never share personal or financial information like bank details, OTPs, Aadhar, PAN, etc., with unknown contacts claiming to be from Meesho.
  • No payments should be made for job offers, training, or onboarding. Meesho never asks for money at any stage of hiring.
  • When in doubt, cross-check with us. Write to reporthiringfraud@meesho.com to verify the authenticity of any communication or offer.
